The project “Inform and Act!” Aims to promote and develop media literacy in smaller communities in order to actively contribute to initiating and solving local challenges faced by the citizens of those municipalities. Due to the election processes that will take place in 2017, the media space is full of different types of information that aim to manipulate and divert the attention of citizens. Through the project, the citizens will be able to recognize what is news and what is manipulation and also will be encouraged to act to solve local challenges. Educating a large number of people on media literacy, especially people at social risk and socially vulnerable categories, especially people with disabilities, will encourage and develop their awareness of action and concrete action on topics that are not sufficiently represented in public, and which are in their interest and in the interest of certain target groups. The final results in all municipalities in which the project will be implemented to develop initiatives and concrete proposals that local authorities or institutions need to solve or do something related to the specific problem and challenge.
